Business purpose
and company history
PowerLeap's mission statement can be summed up in two
sentences: upgrading a PC should be an option not
arbitrarily limited by computer hardware manufacturers.
It should also not be so technical a task that only computer
nerds and paid technicians can do it successfully.
PowerLeap's progenitor and long-time partner, FriendTech
Computer Corp., Ltd. was founded
in 1987 in Taipei, Taiwan as a PC
motherboard design and manufacturing company. In 1996
PowerLeap, LLC was established in New Jersey, USA, as a
brand name and presence for our line PC upgrade products and
services.
Technology and
Innovation
PowerLeap
has been granted (so
far) five
US and International patents for
various innovations
in processor upgrade
technology. Our
engineering team
continues to design
cutting edge
products that
introduce new and
useful solutions to
the PC marketplace.
PowerLeap's
Upgrade
Configurator
software utility
(above, right) is
a unique online tool
that shows PC users
what hardware
upgrades will work
with their systems,
based on a detailed
scan of their
processor, memory,
motherboard, video
card, hard drive,
etc... Note:
if you'd like to put
this technology to
work for you on your
company's website,
please contact our
software subsidiary,
Panopsys.
Goals
We strive to provide
answers and
solutions to
computer users who
desire to take
advantage of the
latest computing
technologies
available but may
not be sure what
upgrade options are
available to them.
We also aim to
design products that
help bridge the gap
between successive
generations of
technology and allow
the new to be used
together with the
not-so-new.
